Types of Input Devices

Touch screen

Heart touching touch-sensitive display device the user can touch different path of the screen with the finger are stylish to import data and issue command. Many touchscreen today are multi touch and can recognise input from more than one finger at the time. Types Of Touch Screen

Types of Input

2. Digital Pen

The pen input is normally used with touchscreen a graphic table can be attached to the computer. If the touch screen is not available a graphic tablet consists of a flat pad on which the user draws with a special pen called stylish. The image is created on the screen as the user draw on the pad. The designer can produce very accurate drawing using graphics table it can also called digitizer.

Game Controllers

A voice used to interact with a video game is called game controller. It is an important device used to direct the movement and actions of the objects in the game game controller include gamepad joystick and  gaming wheel.

Gaming Wheel

Audio Input Devices

The process of entering any sound into the computer is called audio input. It may include speech music or any other sound effects. Audio can be entry through different devices such as microphone, tape player, CD, DVD player or radio. Audio device convert sound into a form that can be processed by computer. A  sound card ki required to enter high quality sound into a personal computer.

Microphone

Microphone is an important vice to digitally record audio data such as human voice. It can be plugged into a computer or recorded many software application can accept data with microphone. It enable  are user to input text and issue commands orally. The software in the computer convert the sound waves into digital deform. It is then stored in memory and used according to the requirement.

MIDI Device

It stand for musical instrument digital interface.MIDI  devices are used to enter music and other sound effects in computer this device is connected to sound card in the computer. The user can compose and edit music and many other sound using software electronic keyboard is an example of MIDI device.

Voice Input

The process of entering data by speaking into a microphone attached to the computer is called voice input. The microphone is attached to the computer with the help of sound card that capability of a computer to distinguished spoken word is called voice recognition. Voice input is a faster way of ensuring that are menu word processing application provide the facility of voice input the user space into the microphone and the application software write the spoken word as text.

They are two types of voice recognition software:

1.  Speaker dependent software
